Get to know General Surgeon Dr. Mingke Wang, who serves patients in New York City, New York.

Dr. Wang is a board-certified general surgeon licensed to practice medicine in New York. She is affiliated with Mount Sinai Beth Israel and NorthWell Lenox Hill Hospital.

Combining medical excellence with clinical innovation, Mount Sinai Beth Israel is a 799-bed teaching hospital, founded in 1889, located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. It emphasizes services in heart disease, cancer, neurology, orthopedics, gastrointestinal disease, chemical dependency, psychiatric disorders, pain management and palliative care, and HIV/AIDS research and treatment. The mission of the hospital is to provide exceptional medical care to all New Yorkers and beyond and to train the next generation of practitioners.

At the start of her academic career, Dr. Wang graduated with her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 2002. She then went on to perform her residency in general surgery at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center.

Having been in practice for over a decade, she is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Wang is board-certified and accredited by the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Dr. Wang’s practice focuses primarily on breast diseases such as breast cancer, masses, and abscess.  

On a more personal note, Dr. Wang speaks both English and Chinese.
